EXECUTIVE

Chief Executive Officer – Donald Sutherland

Mr. Sutherland co-founded Studon Electric & Controls Inc. in 1995. Don has 30 years of field, managerial and executive experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors. He holds his Master Electrician designation and is actively involved in several industry associations as well as a board member of several private companies. Don is heavily involved in the community and participates in several Red Deer community groups including the Red Deer College "Building Communities Through Learning" campaign.

Vice President Operations – Andy Metzger, PMP

Mr. Metzger is a Journeyman Electrician with 22 years experience in the electrical and instrumentation sector. He was one of Studon’s first employees in 1996 and advanced with the company as a member of the management team during the numerous growth phases at Studon. Andy enhanced his post secondary education at the University of Alberta with a diploma in Project Management.

Vice President & Chief Financial Officer - Damian Zapisocky, CA, CIA, MBA<

Mr. Zapisocky is a graduate of the University of Alberta (1999) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an MBA. Damian completed his CA designation with Deloitte in Edmonton and subsequently held four different positions with Syncrude Canada Ltd. in Ft. McMurray. Damian began his career with Studon in 2006 as the company Controller and has advanced with Studon to his current VP/CFO position. Damian also serves as the President of the Central AB CA Club and was a 2009 recipient of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of AB Early Career Achievement award.

 

DIRECTORS

Director of Maintenance Services – Mike Holitski

Mr. Holitski holds dual Journeyman Instrumentation Technologist and Journeyman Electrician tickets. Mike was the former owner and President of Altech Controls Inc., a Red Deer- based Instrumentation and Controls company, before he began his career at Studon. Mike was an Instrumentation Specialist with Imperial Oil and Home Oil before he launched his own company. He worked at the Norman Wells, Liesmer, and Quirk Creek production facilities during his tenure with Imperial and Home Oil.

Director of Construciton Services - Rick Dezutter

Mr. Dezutter has worked in the Oil & Gas industry for the past 25 years and brings a vast array of experience to his position. Rick is a master electrician and has worked as a construction coordinator, project manager and branch manager for multiple disciplines across western Canada. His leadership and team building qualifications were built from field and supervisory experience with various projects from facility turnarounds, grass root & brown field construction to facility start up commissions.

Director of HSE/ QA/ QC – Stuart Carson

Mr. Carson is a nationally recognized Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) with more than nine years direct experience as a Health and Safety Specialist.  Stuart also holds his Bachelor of Science degree in risk management and has led Studon's HSE and QA / QC group for the past four years.

Dirctor of Sales & Marketing – Bryan Lunge

Mr. Lunge has over 25 years of field and marketing/sales experience in the Oilfield and Commercial sectors of the industry. Bryan graduated from the University of Calgary with his Marketing Management Certificate and also holds a Journeyman Electrical ticket as well as his Interprovincial designation in the electrical field. In addition, Mr. Lunge has worked with Dale Carnegie since 2000 and has mentored hundreds of students through their Carnegie programs. Bryan has been director of Studon's Sales & Marketing team for the past 11 years.

Director of Human Relations – Louie McCullagh, CHRP

Mr. McCullagh is a Certified Human Resources Professional with over 20 years experience in the industry. He is also a Certified Safety Officer who is a qualified instructor in the safety field and has taught many courses to enhance his qualifications. Louie is a member in good standing of several Safety and Human Resource industry associations.
